Nah, nah, nah, nah, goodbye, textbooks?

After reading Textbook Deathwatch from Tech & Learning, I took forsee the end of the textbook. This past year, we adopted a new textbook that came with an online subscription. When I asked the publisher's rep how much just the online subscription was without the paper textbook, he told me the online part is free with the textbook. I think it is the other way around at this point. Students are plugged in at home, why not just give them the online version? The end is near, dear textbooks, the end is near.
